Testimonial for Kristy Garry
Several years ago I had a terrible accident. I was about to separate some cow and calve pairs in a corral and we were in a hurry and I jumped on a horse that hadn’t been properly warmed up. When I started to cut out a pair, the horse started to buck and threw me from the saddle into the dirt. The accident resulted in a broken scapula, broken ribs and a punctured lung.
The initial recovery was about six weeks, but two years passed before I could move my neck properly and there are still issues that I deal with everyday.
During the course of my recovery I tried all the traditional methods of treatment and many alternative ones as well, but the one that had the most lasting effect for me was Acupuncture.
When I moved to Victoria and met Kristy through BNI I thought I would give it another try and went to see her. I had a lengthy consultation with her at my first visit and subsequent visits have really had an effect on my well-being. I am seeking maximum flexibility in my limbs and Acupuncture really helps with this.
The philosophy of Acupuncture works on the theory that if there are no parts of the body that are blocked there will be no pain. I have come to believe that this is a sound theory. However, I have discovered something else.
I took up the practice of meditation about five or six years ago. To get good at meditation it is necessary to calm and focus the mind. Once this is accomplished, and you get rid of any mental blocks, it is possible to become very peaceful in the mind. When I go to Kristy for a treatment I find that my body becomes very relaxed and flowing, but my consciousness becomes very acute and present, just the same as it feels when I meditate. When I leave the office I feel as if I am floating on air.
Kristy is among the best Acupuncturists I have ever visited. I recommend her without hesitation. And I would say to you all, that if you would like to have an experience that will make you feel wonderful in body and soul, and if you would like to float on air, you should visit Kristy.
