This morning we popped down to the James Bay market for our weekly shop of veggies. Last week a few young people that have a certified organic farm in town set up a booth, It was their first week there, but when I chatted with them today they said they plan to be there for the rest of the season. I am very impressed with their produce and their prices too! We bought a ton of greens from them last week and they were phenomenal. I haven’t had that good of Swiss Chard ever! (I bought 3 bunches today cuz it was so good!)

So this morning we picked up 3 bunches of Rainbow Chard, 2 types of Kale, white carrots, japanese cucumber, fresh mint, braising greens, a couple bags of salad greens, pea shoots, and a large bunch of beautiful shallots. Everything (enough to last us an entire week) cost us only 30 bucks, Their organic Kale and Chard were only $2.50 a bunch! What a steal. My photo doesn’t do it justice, but those bunches are huge.

Everything was picked fresh this morning so it lasts all week in the fridge, Infact, last night for dinner we had the Slaters chicken breast, Quinoa, and the Chard we bought last week and it was fresh as can be.
